How do you think are the chances of Lao Police Club progressing to next round against Brunei DPMM in 2013 Singapore Cup?
Too bad, Lao footballers are still lack of international competition experience, even if they have AFC Challenge Cup and AFF Suzuki Cup to play.
First, Lao football clubs don't have any regional or continental tournament to play. Lao Police Club and Yotha Club is just the first 2 representation teams of Laos PDR for international match (Singapore Cup) in a while, so they don't have much experience and skill enough to battle with DPMM who is a Bruneian club in abroad and they faced more footballers and skills than Lao.
Second, I think "foreign players" is the key to victory. DPMM hire 2 foreigners to play, but Lao Police Club only use local player.
That's why Lao can beat Bruneian in national team matches, but not in club matches
Better luck next time, just realize that international competition experience is important for developing. I just hope that I would see Lao clubs compete in abroad tournament again.
